About the Weight Loss Clinic

The Weight Loss Clinic offers a comprehensive medical approach to the treatment
of obesity including both medical and surgical therapies. The Weight Loss Clinic has been performing laparoscopic Bariatric surgery since 1998. It is privately owned and managed
by physicians as a division of Central Pennsylvania Surgical Associates. The clinic treats
only obesity and related conditions in a setting designed to accommodate the special needs
of our patients.

The medical staff currently consists of six surgeons; Dr. Luciano DiMarco, Dr. Scot Currie, Dr. Matthew Davidson, Dr Anuj Prashar, Dr. Justin Rosenberger, and Dr. Jeff Small, as well as a bariatrician (weight loss specialist), Dr. Lawrence Wieger.

We currently offer two types of Bariatric surgery, the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and the Lap-Band adjustable gastric banding. All of the surgeries are performed laparoscopically if medically feasible. Surgeries are performed at The Community General Osteopathic Hospital of Pinnacle which has a dedicated Bariatric wing staffed by personnel knowledgeable in the care of Bariatric patients and committed to their care.
