Luciano (Lou) A. DiMarco, D.O., F.A.C.O.S. is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS.) and is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following attainment of
his medical degree,
Dr. DiMarco moved to the Harrisburg area to complete a one-year general internship and then a four-year Residency in General Surgery at Community General Osteopathic Hospital
in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Because of a
keen interest in specialized surgery, he went
on to complete a Fellowship in Hepatobiliary
surgery at the University of Pittsburgh (Presbyterian Hospital) in 1993.
After returning to the Harrisburg area,
Dr. DiMarco began his practice of General Surgery with concentration in Laparoscopic technique. In 1998, he performed the first laparoscopic Gastric Bypass at Community General Hospital and began the Bariatric surgery program because of his interest in treating the disease of Morbid Obesity via laparoscopic surgery. Dr. DiMarco continues
to perform General surgery procedures (in addition to Bariatric procedures) at Central Pennsylvania Surgical Associates, Ltd., the private practice he formed in 1996. |

Dr. DiMarco is the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg and also serves as the Director of the Osteopathic General Surgery program at Community General Hospital, where he is quite active in teaching surgical Residents on a daily basis. He also has taken a lead role in establishing and nurturing a one year Fellowship position at Community General for Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery. Dr. DiMarco is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and is an accredited Surgeon in the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence program at Pinnacle Health System / Community General Hospital, which he founded.

Lawrence (Larry) A. Wieger, D.O. is a
native of the Harrisburg area and completed Medical School at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
He then completed a one-year rotating internship at:
Community General Osteopathic Hospital
in Harrisburg, where he also completed the Residency program in Family Medicine. Larry became Board-Certified in Family Practice in 1992 and provided Family medicine care for
ten years in the Harrisburg area.
In 2001, Dr. Wieger decided to specialize
in the treatment of Obesity and Obesity Management, and joined The Weight Loss Clinic as our Bariatrician. Larry’s duties in
this profession include the pre-operative work-up and post-operative medical care of surgery patients. Just as important, he also has
defined a Medical Management pathway
(non-surgical) for Obesity treatment which includes physician directed dieting, exercise
and nutritional consultation. He supervises
the Nutritionists and oversees the educational efforts made to combat Obesity and its many related disorders.

Scot A. Currie, D.O. joined The Weight
Loss Clinic in July 2002 following his
graduation from the Surgical Residency program at Community General Hospital / Pinnacle
Health. Scot is also a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a one-year rotating Internship
at Community General and then elected to
join
the Surgical Residency program at the same institution. The Surgical Residency lead
to a significant interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including Bariatric procedures.
Doctor Currie is board certified and continues to perform General and
laparoscopic surgery through his practice at Central Pennsylvania Surgical Associates,
Ltd. in addition to the Bariatric procedures through The Weight Loss Clinic. In 2002,
Scot became one of the first surgeons in the Harrisburg (along with Dr. DiMarco) to
perform the Laparoscopic Adjustable Band procedure in Harrisburg. Dr. Currie is very active in teaching surgical technique to the Residents and Fellow at Community General Hospital/ Pinnacle Health System. |

Matthew D. Davidson, D.O. is a graduate
of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He joined Central Pennsylvania Surgical Associates, Ltd. and
The Weight Loss Clinic in 2004 following graduation from the Surgical Residency program at Community General Hospital. During esidency, Matt trained extensively with Dr’s DiMarco and Currie in the advanced laparoscopic skills necessary to perform
Gastric Bypass and the Adjustable Band procedures. He is board certified and familiar with the outpatient care and nutritional
support through exposure to The Weight Loss Clinic and gained a real appreciation for the positive outcomes achieved with obesity care and Bariatric surgery.
In addition to his commitment to Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Davidson continues with a very active practice of General Surgery. He
provides surgical services at Fulton County Medical Center, a rural health center located

He also teaches Surgical Residents, Interns and Fellows in the Training program at Community General.

Dr. Prashar grew up in northern Virginia.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Biology form George Mason University.
While pursuing his bachelor's degree he worked at INOVA Fairfax hospital in the laboratory, anesthesia and emergency
departments.
He then moved to philadelphia and earned a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. Internship was completed at Pennsylvania's Graduate Hospital. He then spent five years at New Jersey's University of Medicine and Dentistry training to be a surgeon. In 2007
he was chief surgical resident. He left Philadelphia and
completed a fellowship in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery concentrating in bariatrics. He currently works in Harrisburg, PA
practicing general, advance laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.

Justin D. Rosenberger, D.O., is a General and Bariatric Surgeon at Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, PA. Dr. Rosenberger completed his undergraduate training at Allegheny College in Meadville. He then finished his medical school training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his general surgery residency and bariatric surgery
training at Pinnacle Health. In addition to general and bariatric surgery, he has an interest in minimally invasive surgery and participates with the training of general
surgery residents
