I had tried every diet known to man. It was
really funny when the last place told me to
"get some exercise". I was 316 pounds
with bad knees, high blood pressure and my idea
of exercise was getting to the car and back!
Now, I enjoy walking in the neighborhood with

I
had Laproscopic RNY surgery on June 31 2000.
At that time I weighed in at just under 315
pounds. I wore a 48 waist pants and a 3X or
4X shirt. In just over 5 months I have lost
82 pounds, went from a 48in waist to a 38 and
I am flirting with 36's. I wear an XL mens shirt
and no longer have to shop at Big and Tall stores.
I eat almost everything (except much meat) that
I ate before only in portions I would only have
dreamed would fill me. My only regret to having
the procedure was that I didn't do it sooner.
Dr. DiMarco, thanks for giving me my life back.

In January of 2000, I tipped the scales at a
tearful 348 pounds (BMI of 45)..... in April
of 2000, I went under your extraordinary hands......
I lost 101 pounds by my One-Year anniversary
and was thrilled. By the way, in
the last three months under Dr. Wieger's care,
he and I established a realistic medical management
program.... I am now at a lean 187 pounds
27 months after surgery.

Well it has been 6 months now since my surgery
and I am about 75lbs less then I was. I have
had no problems other then buying smaller clothing
which is a great feeling. I now assist in our
local WLS Support Group and encourage everyone
to link-up with a support group in your area
as much is learned from one-another at these
meetings.
